Places I write articles for

This is me. Hi. I'm an idiot.

I can be extremely obnoxious at

times, but please don't be offended.

               I love you all!

Finally getting around to May!

Well, not working on the May entry, posting about it!

So because of the Canada Post strike/lock out/whatever you'd like to call it, I was unable to send the sketchbook from Carmen to Eva! But it's now in the mail, and here are the photos of my May spread :)

Oy.. okay well, I'd write more in this post, but got alot to do! I'll update again soon as I'm pretty much done my June entry, I'm just waiting on the journal to put it in! :)

Have a great weekend everyone!

Time to update!

Good Monday Morning everyone!!

Thought I should actually update this page, since I've finally finished my sign in/about me pages in the sketchbook and sent it off to Eva! I was a little late in finishing everything due to guests visiting from Slovenia, so I didn't have time to decorate the cover. Poop. But that's alright, the sign in page and the about me were most important... so let's show them off, shall we?

Here is my sign in page (which I almost forgot to sign before I mailed it out!). It's all Edward Gorey characters as his stories and art inspired me throughout my childhood.

And here's me! I decided to draw little caricatures of myself doing all the things I did as a kid (I'm very weird, I know... I mean, who hangs out at a vets office and plays with the parts that are removed???) But all these things are what made me who I am today.

I've since recieved Carmens book and I'm working on it... I'll post pictures of that when I finish! Hope you all have a fantastic week!

The Sisterhood of the Travelling Sketchbooks

I have some 'splainin' to do...

A while back.. a month? 2 months? You'll have to forgive me, my sense of time is quite skewed. Well, more like non-existent. I've always had this problem it seems - just ask my mom. She'll have plenty of stories for you, for example; I'd be watching ScoobyDoo. But then I'd have "ah idea!", turn off the tv and run up to my room to either tie all my stuffed animals to my bunk bed ladder and chuck it down the stairs or imagine a colourful circle on the floor and dance around it infront of my cat. Anyhoo... when I was done getting in trouble for throwing my ladder down the stairs or stomping around on the floor, I'd sigh and head back to the tv, turn it on, and expect that ScoobyDoo would continue exactly where I left off. Oh the temper tantrums that would ensue when I would accuse someone of changing the channel which would have 'deleted' Scooby. My mom likes to say that they invented VCR's because of me.

Okay to get back on track here! The SisterHood of the Travelling Sketchbooks!! This project was brought to my attention by Jaime of ArtsyFartsyMe and basically, the "sisterhood" each buys sketchbooks, and we send them to each of our fellow sisters every month to add another entry. There are 13 of us, so in a little over a year, we'll have our original sketchbooks back completely filled with bits and pieces of our sisters' lives.

I'll be posting another entry as soon as I do my cover, sign in page and first entry - our first entries are based on a colour that represents us, and serves as a bit of an introduction to eachother! The following entries will be based on the months.

If anyone would like to visit all the other "sisters" check them out below!

This will be quite an adventure and I'm so excited to be participating in it. I'll give regular updates of the entries in the sketchbooks in the months to come.
